Our Flower Garden is situated at the back of the shop, down the stairs and out through a beautiful wooden door. When Cassie started the shop it was an abandoned walled garden but many hours of work by herself, her husband and children have seen it develop into the beautiful, secret floral haven for birds and wildlife that it is today.
The garden is divided into lawns and flower beds and from spring onwards it is a riot of colour with the raised beds yielding narcissi, tulips, hyacinths and anemones and the borders full of primroses and forget me nots. In summer the bulbs give way to a procession of herbaceous cottage garden flowers from delphiniums and foxgloves to peonies and dahlias and masses of sweet peas which our customers love to stop by and pick all summer long.
Although we do buy flowers from all around the world through the dutch flower markets we believe in local seasonal flowers as well and there’s none fresher than those from our own garden.
